Kandinsky Retrospective at the Guggenheim 2009
In 2009 the Guggenheim in New York City did a retrospective of Kandinsky’s work. So many beloved images were there, all together, as well as unusual and interesting works. It was a dream show.
This was in the dark days when museum guards were diligently preventing us from taking photos (with our lousy camera phones) out of fear we could make our own merchandise, I guess. I snuck this image when they weren’t looking. I did turn this image into an iron-on and put it on a t-shirt, but it was just for me.
I love art. I love looking at art. I love looking at people looking at art.
To this day this image is the lock screen on my mobile phone.
